An effective medication for acne.

You may notice rapid signs of cure after treatment with Roaccutane, but you should continue the full treatment as prescribed by the dermatologist in order not to regain acne upon stopping the therapy.

What is Acne?

Acne vulgaris is a skin disease characterized by blockage of the hair follicles in the skin resulting in the formation of black and white heads and even deep cysts. Such changes affect the face, chest, shoulders and back.

The disease affects mainly teenagers starting any time in the second decade of life. It usually subsides in the early twenties, but in some cases it may persist till the forties.

The disease does not pose any risk for the life of the patient, nevertheless, it has a strong psychological impact on the patient's self-image. It causes scarring and deformation of the face complexion which may make the patient shy and isolated from his friends and colleagues.

Acne vulgaris is a self-limiting disease which disappears by itself after some years even without treatment, but not without affecting the complexion and leaving scars and pits in the face that last for life. That is why patients should never neglect the disease or leave it for time to heal it, but should rather take the appropriate treatment to avoid inflammation and scarring and so give themselves the confidence and security to enjoy the golden years of their lives to the fullest.
